Movie – ****+ Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016)
A troubled teen and a troubled loner are forced to go on the run together in the New Zealand bush changing both. Lovely film.

Although the evil rabbit took over the film, a step up as family entertainment with something for everyone.
Wonderful foreign film about an out-of-work cellist who goes home with his new wife and unexpectedly finds work as a funeral director’s assistant, a profession looked down upon in Japan.
Aside from impossible-to-believe asteroid density in space, a wonderful addition to the new Star Trek movies. Amazing CGI mixed well with the story.
Skarsgard and Robbie have chrisma as Tarzan and Jane, but communication with animals beyond the great intelligent apes who raised him seems to stretch the legend in order to simplify the plot. The CGI apes are great.
Beautiful re-make of the well-loved book, nicely cast, and CGI appropriately subservient to the story. Great for kids and adults.
Entertaining within its strange premise that kids in a survival setting have the discipline to outlearn college students and love a completely dictatorial father.
Bizarre.
Evil bunny takes center stage from the main characters, but the film pulls off an entertaining adventure.
Bryan Cranston (Robert Mazur) plays a role remarkably like his character in Breaking Bad, where his undercover activities start to alter his normal personality. The film paints the life of an infiltrator well, but offers no insight for our investment in the journey.
